JAMB 2026 UTME Result Is Out — Here's How to Check Your Score Right Now

If you wrote the 2026 JAMB UTME between April 16 and April 23, your result is ready. JAMB has been releasing results batch by batch since the exam started, and the good news is that you don't need to go to any cyber café or visit any office to check it.
This guide will show you exactly how to check your score — step by step — and what to do next after you see it.

First, What You Need to Know Before Checking

Before anything else:
  • Use only the SIM card you registered with during JAMB. If you check with a different number, it won't work.
  • Make sure you have at least ₦50 airtime on that number.
  • Results are being released day by day, so if yours isn't out yet, don't panic. Check again the next day.
  • Do not visit any website that is not JAMB's official site. Scammers are already circulating fake portals — ignore them.

Method 1: Check by SMS (Fastest Way)

This is the quickest method and works without internet.

Step 1: Pick up the phone number you used to register for JAMB 2026.

Step 2: Open your messaging app and type:
UTMERESULT

Step 3: Send it to 55019 or 66019.

Step 4: Wait for the reply. It will come as an SMS showing your score in each subject.

That's it. The ₦50 airtime will be deducted automatically.

⚠️ Warning: Some candidates have been arrested for editing the SMS they received and sending it to their parents as fake proof of a higher score. JAMB says this is a criminal offence. Don't do it. Don't help anyone do it either.

Method 2: Check and Print Online (Official Portal)

If you want to see and print the full result slip (which has your photo and full score breakdown), use the JAMB e-Facility portal.

Step 1: Go to efacility.jamb.gov.ng

Step 2: Log in with the email address and password you used during UTME registration.

Step 3: On your dashboard, click "Print Result Slip."

Step 4: Click "Continue with Payment" and pay the ₦1,500 fee.

Step 5: Select 2026 as the exam year and enter your JAMB registration number.

Step 6: Download and print your result slip.

💡 Tip: Print at least 2 copies and keep them safe. Your university or polytechnic will ask for this slip during screening and post-UTME.

Forgot your password? Use the "Forgot Password" option on the portal, or walk into any JAMB office near you with your registration details.

What If My Result Is Not Out Yet?

Don't panic. JAMB is releasing results in batches based on exam days. If you wrote on April 22 or 23, your result may still be processing. Just wait 24 to 48 hours and try the SMS method again.

What you should not do:

  • Don't pay anyone to "help" you check or upgrade your result. It's a scam.
  • Don't use websites that are not jamb.gov.ng or efacility.jamb.gov.ng.
  • Don't forward any result-related links from WhatsApp without confirming from JAMB's official X (Twitter) handle: @JAMBHQ.

Cut-Off Marks for 2026 — What Score Do You Need?
Here's the minimum JAMB score you need to be considered for admission:

Institution Type Minimum Score
Universities 150
Colleges of Nursing 140
Polytechnics 100
Colleges of Education 100
Colleges of Agriculture 100

Meeting the cut-off doesn't guarantee admission. Each school sets its own higher cut-off, and your O'level results also matter. But this is the baseline JAMB accepts.

What to Do After Checking Your Score
If you scored well:
Keep your result slip safe.

Start watching your school's official website for Post-UTME screening announcements.
Log in to JAMB CAPS (caps.jamb.gov.ng) to monitor your admission status.

If your score is lower than expected:
Don't make any hasty decisions yet.
Check if the score still meets cut-off for your chosen school.

Some schools accept scores as low as 150 depending on the course and competition.

One Last Warning About Fake Portals

JAMB's official channels are:
@JAMBHQ on X (Twitter)

Any other link someone sends you on WhatsApp, Telegram, or Facebook claiming to be a JAMB result portal — ignore it. Some of these fake sites collect your registration number and personal details for fraud.
