PTDF announces Scholarship for interested applicants in 2026.

PTDF Overseas Scholarship is now open for interested applicants.

The PETROLEUM TECHNOLOGY DEVELOPMENT FUND (PTDF), has announced the lunching of their overseas scholarship for interested and qualified applicants from around the world. 

The scholarship is for MSC and PhD students, criteria and eligibility is below.

Eligibility Criteria

MSc Applicants must:

- Possess a minimum of Second Class Upper (2.1) in the first degree, or a Second Class Lower (2.2) with relevant industry experience.

- Have completed the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Be computer literate.

- Possess five (5) O'Level credits, including English Language and Mathematics.

- Submit a Statement of Purpose (maximum 500 words) stating: rationale for the proposed study; relevance to the oil and gas industry; and expected contribution to national development

- Have a National Identity Number (NIN) and ensure it is fully verified prior to application (NIMC verification charges apply) B)

PhD Applicants must:

- Have completed the mandatory NYSC

- Be computer literate

- Possess five (5) O'Level credits, including English Language and Mathematics

- Possess at least Second Class Lower (2.2) in the first degree and a good postgraduate degree
